SOS: How to replace the alternator on a 2001 Sierra 1500 5.3L?

My alternator on my 2001 sierra 1500 5.3L V8 2WD is going bad and already ruined my 4th of july fishing/camping plans. I have to get it fixed so I can get to work on tuesday after the holiday weekend, me and my wife only have two cars so I have to get this bad boy fixed ASAP. I'm pretty sure I could wing it but I'd like to do things the right way on this so i dont screw anything up. I'm pretty sure its a 105 amp alternator? But I was just wanting to know if any one would want to take the time to give me or show me where I can find some step by step instructions. I've serched all over the net and cant find any. Your help would be greatly appreciated. -Jake

first off you will want to remove the belt. next unhook your alternator. next step would be to start unbolting the alternator. next get your new alternator and start bolting it in place next would be to hook up the new alternator next would be making sure the bolts are as tight as you can get them next would be putting the belt back on and ur finished

First step is to disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Never remove anything electrical without disconnecting the power source first.
