Sound Like a SPACESHIP shutting off truck

2008 gmc sierra 1500 V 8. 5.3 engine. 4 wheel drive Off road package 42,000 miles Sometimes when a certain fan comes on If it still happens to be on by chance When I turn the key off It's a soundS like a spaceship turning off. NOT THAT I KNOW WHAT A SPACESHIP SOUNDS LIKE WHEN IT TURNING OFF but you can hear a certain wining down for like 2a Seconds Just want to know if this was normal Has anybody heard it with their own vehicle

it sounds you have electric fans and they click on when the engine temp gets to a certain point and you are prolly hearing them turn off

Yea im sure that's what it is, its not bothersome at all and it is faint but wanted to know if anyone noticed or is it my super human hearing LOL LOL . No bigie ty all and great site LOTS of INFO GREAT!

Normal, my 2010 does same thing and my CTS does it. Typically they are cooling fans like your pc would have. The run after things are turned off the help cool down electronics or in the case of the A/C to help dry things so mold and mildew formation is abated.
