Speedo not reading right

When the trucks at an idle the speedo sometimes reads 85, sometimes 60, sometimes 20, depends on the day. Any idea what it could be and how to fix it ?.

Stepper motor has gone bad and will need to be replaced, you can buy them on E-Bay for around $15.00 and replace them your self. Plan B would be that your replace the whole instrument cluster which is around $500.00.

Thanks alot!. You likley saved me $300.00 in shop fees alone, I'll let you know how I make out with it.

Hey thanks for the links, I think it will help people who are looking out for stepper motor replacement
 
It's probably the famous stepper motors. I got mine completely repaired at myairbags. Been working ever since :)
