Hello,

I have a

2001 Jimmy.

It stalls out sometimes when I am at a stop sign or stop light and the engine goes to 1000 Rpm. I get about halfway through the intersection. It sputters out like its getting choked out one way or another.

It always starts right away and usually seems to go down the road fine.

I replaces the wires, plugs and cap and along with the belt.
In the past when I first got it , it ran really smooth that was at 32000 miles. It now only has 68k and the tune up did not seem to help.

It also runs rough in the morning on a cold start like it is missing and runs a lot better after warmed up. It does not get that cold in Ocala.

I've also cleaned the mass air sensor and butterfly valve.

I would kindly appreciate any ideas as where I might start to get this fixed.

Many Thanks,

Steve in Ocala

could be a number of any thing, check fuel pump pressure when cold, then check fuel pump when nice and hot, (after a 2 hour drive or so)also when running check to see if the exhaust has a good flow, could be a clogged up catalitic converter, also if you fixed your issue a answer to what you did to fix would be nice
