hi, I have had a problem with my Sonoma 2.2. about a week after I installed a new battery I would turn on the ignition and then turn the key to start the truck, then its like the battery suddenly dies or gets disconnected. then I get out and jiggle the cables at the terminals and then it starts, but does not stay running unless I give throttle, then after a minute it can idle by itself. I cleaned the terminals and made sure they are tight. this has happened three times through the course of a month.

The ECM is resetting when the battery connection is lost, causing the bad idling.
You could have a bad battery internally, corroded cable connections inside the housing on the end of the cable, a bad cable inside, or a bad ground(s) from the battery to the motor or body.
