Hi, newly discovered issue, need help on :) I have a 2013 GMC Sierra and while its running if I hit the bottom of the steering wheel column (just under the steering wheel) my trouble lights come on then turn off and only when I tap it.

The other is, when trying to start my truck, the battery appeared to be dead, turn the key and nothing, but when I bang the bottom of column underneath steering wheel it will start.

Thnx

I'm much better with the mechanical aspect of cars but sounds like a loose wire. If it isn't hard take the column apart and look for any loose connections. I would disconnect the battery and pull the fuse for the air bag first.
