Hey I have a 98 GMC K1500 5.7L and my idle speed is slowly deteriorating. Right now it's at 550 rpms at the light and about 6-650 rpms in park. I do have a current tune up within the last year and a new IAC. I've read it could be something wrong with fuel pressure or fuel delivery ranging anywhere from the fuel pump, to spider injector or even clogged cats; although I passed emissions 6 months ago with flying colors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my DD so I need it done ASAP.

Start with the simple and clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner, do not use carb cleaner. The carb cleaner is to corrosive to the gaskets used on throttle body.

Pay attention to your IAC passage ways and also it would not hurt to give your engine a ://www.seafoamsales.com/how-to-use-sea-foam-motor-treatment.html just make sure your outside when you do. There will be lots of smoke for a few min from your tail pipe lol.

Good luck and if your fuel filter has not been replaced once a year, it would help your engine and your fuel pump last longer. ;)
