Tailgate just opens while driving

Hey y'all
So this is probably the second time in the span of 3 months where I'd be driving and my tailgate just opens.. I know for a fact the button was not pressed. Anyone have this happen before? I've got the 2024 Sierra Elevation.

I read somewhere of this happening and that it was covered under warranty.

Note that if you have a hitch ball installed or a trailer attached, your tailgate might incur some damage if it opens on it's own, especially if you're on the move and you have the multi-pro tailgate.

I don't know if the warranty situation covers our 2024 models, so I would call your dealer.
Mine is a 2024 Sierra SLT 1500 and that hasn't happened to mine yet, but I'm keeping a watch out for it.

I have the same truck and mine also has twice opened on mine while driving. I have the one piece tailgate as well.

The tailgate opening is a recall. I have a 2022 2500, and it happened to me. They replace the switch.
