taillight question

I have a 01 sierra ext. cab, as of right now i have the stock taillights but i see alot of sierras like myne with the 03 and up silverado taillights..

just wondering if i wanted to change myne to those, what year silverado would i have to get? please help me, thanks

A buddy of mine has this done to his 01 SIlverado. He has a set of professionally smoked taillights from an 03. Any bubble taillight from the next gen silverado should work. Hope this helps!
