went out at the same time! Help? I was driving my 1991 GMC Jimmy 2 nights ago, and hit a pothole. When I hit it, my radio, dashlights, and tail lights all went out. Very odd. My warning lights on my dash do work though, just not the lights behind the speedometer, temp gauge etc.
So I replaced the fuses for all 3, but no luck. I checked the grounds at my tail lights, and they are all secured and grounded. I am at a loss of ideas.
The radio does not power on, however if I turn the volume knob to the right, static comes through the speakers louder and louder. So it is getting some kind of power? I had my windshield wipers on, and it was almost like I could hear them in the static, coming from the speakers. Very bizarre.
As it is right now, I am driving home at night with my hazards on from work, just to make things safe for other drives. My hazards and headlights do work.
Any ideas?
It is factory standard radio.
