2500 sierra? i think i have to check my fuses for my cars speedometer and other gages because they stoped working but i dnt really know how anything would be appreciated

use a 12 volt tester and with the key on test for voltage at both top points on it or remove it and use 1.5 self powered volt tester on them and see if it lights up,this is a more accurate way of testing them, good luck.

Find fuse box and pull them one at a time . There should be a small metal piece in the middle of the fuse . Look carefully to see if this piece has burnt into some where . If so replace .

If it is like most cars/pickups/etc., you get a flashlight and you lay on your back jammed in between the edge of the driver's seat and the door frame with the door open and your feet on the ground taking your weight. Above your head under the dash or on the side wall near the dash will be a black plastic cover which pops off. When you take this off, you will see the edges of a bunch of fuses. If you are lucky, in between the fuses will be small white lettering labeling each fuse (it is easier to go online and download the users manual if you don't own one - the fuse layout is in there.) Unless the fuse has blown violently (a dead short) you will have a very difficult time spotting the black residue from blowing and will thus have to pull various fuses to look at them for a blown link.

First you need a test light. Clip wire extension to ground, anything on the body, each fuse, on top has 2 small holes on each side. Use light and probe both sides, with the key on. Light should be on on both sides. if not fuse is blown.Hope this helped.
