Throttle positioning sensor question?

Back to talking about my 2000 gmc jimmy, but it's kinda just a an all around question of knowledge I wanna know and to make sure I do things right when I fix/replace the parts. So when I replace the throttle positioning sensor do I need to do anything special or do I just remove old and attach new???

Remove the old, install the new that's it. It's 2 torx screws that hold it on. Just switched mine out.
