i have a ticking noise coming from the drivers sideof the engine and i also smell exaust coming through my vents. also not sure if this is related but 3 of my spark plug wires have what feels like a pulse to them
ticking noise , does it have almost a hammer sound to it?
I would bet the exhaust manifold has come loose from the cylinder head
check the bolts
it happens a lot with headers, that has been my experience
