We have a new 2016 Acadia Denali, equipped with the memory package. Although the memory seat works fine, just as it did in our previous Cadillac SRX, the tile and telescope steering column does not work as it should. Having had several Cadillacs with memory, as well as the power tilt and telescope column/wheel, we know the column should return to the exit setting when exiting the vehicle.
You can preset this exit setting, and we have done so, but upon exiting the column only moves slightly instead of fully to the programmed position. My last two Cadillacs, a 2003 Seville STS, and a 2008 STS, along with my current XTS all with exit seating, work correctly; i.e., the column/wheel returns to the exit position just as it was programmed. Not this new Acadia Denali!
Multiple questions with the dealer have been worthless. Even the salesperson was surprised when we showed him how it worked and was supposed to work! The Acadia is a nice car, but someone screwed up the programming on this feature, and dropped the ball!
I suspect typical Acadia owners with this feature don't have a clue how it is supped to work, likely because it is the first time they had the feature. Not us! We had it previously, in at least three cars, and know how it should work!
