Hi i have a 2000 GMC Jimmy with 4x4 live in Iowa so I need an all season tire.. Any reccomendations on tires? had really bad luck with Kuhmo's so thats out of the question. Looken at Michelin X radials? Are they worth the extra money? Thanks

The Michelin X Radials were option on the Jimmy as the OEM tires when the Jimmy was ordered. 235/70-15 and the OEM Tire size was 205/70-15. You may like the BF Goodrich TA (performance all seasonal) I my self is running 255/65-15 on my jimmy, yes the tire is wider but the hight stay's the same and you get more mileage out of the tire. Just have to be careful you don't go to fast in the rain or snow, they're prone to hydroplane. I have not had that problem or have gotten stuck in the snow, but i do most of my driving on the hyway. With your 205/70-15 your going to want to 245/60-15 or the 235/60-15 so your speedometer would not be affected. Good luck and surprised that the Kuhmo's did not work out for you. There the second best seller tires for the jimmy, but then again the price is good too. Just make sure what ever tire you get, your running them no less then 32PSI.

Hancoop Optimo's are the best i have found for the money. NO SOUND at all and good weather tires. i believe they are considered a racnig tire but work well in St. Louis and as i travel north hold there own . LOVE THEM will buy nothing else. best part is cheaper than most top-graded tires.

GOOD STUFF
