Tire size

I have a 2005 GMC Canyon SLE 4X4 that currently has 31X10.5 R15LT tires on it, the sticker on the inside of the door says to put 265/75/15 on the truck, but every where I go that pull up a GMC Canyon like mine say to put 235/75/15 on them, what would the big difference be in appearance if I put the 235 instead of the 265 on the truck?

The reason I'm agonizing over this is I can get the 235's for 1/2 the cost of the 265 or the 31X10.5's
