I hear that towing anything before 1000 miles is not recommended by a dealer. I towed a small empty trailer the other day (5x8) about 40 miles total. I was told that I should not have towed anything for the first 1000 miles. I am curious if any damage was done thanks.

Owner of a 2010 Terrain SLE-2 3.0L
It has ~120k miles and I put 100k miles myself
Your post doesn't make sense..

In your intro you said it was a 2010 with over 120K miles and a 100K you put on yourself...Towing issues shouldn't be a concern now..only that you don't exceed the MAX towing weight.

I was referring to another Terrain vehicle. I did not state my vehicle, this vehicle was the smaller engine - 4 cyl. I'm needing clarification. So do you have knowledge on this topic?

But No, I have no information on the subject, other to advise conferring with the Owner's Manual
