Good morning. I currently own a 2012 Sierra 2500HD 6.0L. I tow a camper that weighs 8500 empty. Tongue weight is not my primary concern as the truck sits level. The 6.0 is my concern because I don't want to overwork it. I've been looking into the diesel option for better towing performance. Probably around the years of 2015-16. Should I go with the diesel and step up to the 3500HD or stay with the 3/4 ton diesel? Or do you think my 6.0 will be fine?
I understand the GVWR changes depending on year, engine, 2500 or 3500 but depending on what website your on I get conflicting information. Thanks in advance for any info and suggestions!
