ok. I've had my jimmy just over a year and have had no issues with towing anything from 5x8 single axles to 6x18 tandem axles up to about 300 miles. but it is time for me to move back home from Illinois to Alabama. planning on hauling a fully loaded 6x12 uhaul box almost 900 miles. my dad and father in law are both concerned with the excessive strain on the tranny pulling that load for that long. anything I need to be worried about or should it be relatively smooth sailing.

96 jimmy slt 4dr 4wd
bone stock 4.3 vortec / 4l60e with 145000 miles.
no problems but squeaky belt(cold probably) and squeaky brakes(front pass. side)
loaded trailer weight between 4000-4500 lbs

You'll be fine, just keep to the speed limits and keep an eye on your temp gauge when going up mills.

Stay safe and keep us posted:D
