Trade-in a 2-wheel drive GMC Sierra 1500 for a 4-wheel drive or do the work...

...yourself? Alot of money and labor? I really want a 4-wheel drive, currently have a 2-wheel drive, been thinking of trading in my 1500 sierra but if i can save money making it a 4-wheel drive myself then i am all for it.

Trade it in or find a 4wd within the same year with a blown engine or transmission so you can get it dirt cheap and swap out your drive train. Always find a great SUV with a bad driver train, but great body and interior for around $500.00 these days.

This would be the best and cheapest way for you to get a 4wd with the drive train you are aware of. Since you know how you took care of your engine and transmission.
