I have a 2007 Sierra HD2500. Every once in a while I have an warning flash up that says "trailer connected"; there is no trailer connected! Then within seconds it says "check trailer wiring" then a ping sound. This sometimes occurs every 10 seconds and continues for hours. It went away for months, now it's backkkk. It seldom starts out that way, but if I run it for a while, turn it off, then restart it starts this warning. I have had it in twice for this and my local GM Dealer can not find the cause. Last time I was in they charged me $71.00 for a single fuse and said it was fixed. I started doing the same thing again the next day!! Help:mad::confused:

Sorry to hear about this Eagle. Did you ever speak with our Customer Assistance team in regards to these issues?

Sound to me like you have short in your trailer wiring, and that is one of the harder electrical issues to chase down, as finding shorts can be very time consumming. So if the truck is still under warrenty the just keep taking it back to the dealer untill they are able to find it.
