I have 00 Sierra 1500 2wd, v6. Trans had a slight slip so I drained a quart of fluid and added Lucas to it. After doing so.......nothing. No foward, reverse 1 2 3. What would the cause be. The level is full and I let the truck run for 30 min thinking the thick additive needed to thin, but still nothing. What next? Help

Got it. The filter dropped out when I loosened the pan. Fixed it and shifting smooth. I'm a rookie and I'm now out of the mechanic business. I'll stick to what I know.......landscaping!

No worried and glad you got your truck running again. Did you replaced the O ring that should of came with the filter kit to your transmission. The filter is only held in place by that O ring and if you have not replaced it with the new one, good chance that the filter may drop down again.
