Has anyone had trouble with transmission, timing chains, catalytic converter? My Acadia went out of warranty last fall. We had taken it to dealership 3 times for issues with transmission...3 weeks after warranty went out, the transmission almost burned the vehicle up. After speaking with GMC this week (yes, this has been going on since before Christmas) I was instructed to call a wrecker (must use one they, the dealership, insists on), make an appt. and pay for diagnostics on the same problem they didn't fix the last 3 times. After being told need to use a certain wrecker service and pay for diagnostics on problem they never corrected the last 3 visits, am worried is this another way of getting more money for not standing behind their products? I would like to know if this is happening to other people. I hate to keep spending more on a car I am still making payments on and have not been able to drive since Christmas...any suggestions???
