There is ATF coming out of what I assume is the bleader tube/hole. It is a tube that sticks up beside the line where you add the ATF. Why is it doing this? Can I fix it myself? I need this vehicle to be running and I am hoping that this isn't an extreme thing.

That could be the vet tube to your 4WD switch. When the switch goes bad, transmission fluid will works its way throughout your vacuum lines which will soon affect your heating controls.

Start with inspecting the vacuum lines from the 4WD vacuum switch from the transfer case. Once you pulled the vacuum line harness from the switch and you find transmission fluid in the lines. Replace the switch.

If that vacuum line is he vent line to our transmission. Than it could be a Plugged cooler line. Flush the transmission cooler and cooler lines. Also could be overfiled transmission.

Start with these simple things and keep us posted.
