Howdy folks.
Was on a long drive about 3 1/2 h. Heard a loud grind from my transmission. Pulled over and noticed the trans fluid had drained from the tranny. looked underneath and noticed fluid sprayed all over the bottom of the gas tank. Found the leak, which is from the seal at the u joint and axle location at rear of transmission. My transmission will not shift into 3 or 4th gear. Topped up the fluid and got the gears back. Today tired again and no 3rd or 4th.
Question : did i screw up the transmission? Should i bother fixing the leak, Change and replace trans fluid and filter or i am looking for a new transmission?
