Truck stalled and now it won't start

Driving down the highway my truck stalled. After about an hour on the side of the road it finally started again. I got it home, it worked for awhile then it did it again and this time had to have it towed home. I replaced the fuel filter and it worked just fine for about a month. Then it stalled on me again and had to pouch it home. Replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor and Fuel pump. It still won't start. I can crank it and it will try to start but won't start. Anyone have any ideas?

what year and engine, trans
if it is a mid 90's check the plug at the underside of the distributor
(two or three wire plug i can't remember)

Sorry I forgot to add that information. It's a 2002 v8 5.8
