Turn off active fuel managemt - the GM way

We have a 2011 2wd crew cab 1500 5.3l 6spd

If you put your tranny in Manual and click it up to 5th you turn your auto 6 with afm into an auto 5sp WITHOUT afm. It turns the afm off. So far we are getting better mileage! Go figure.

And it has almost eliminated the dreaded drive line clunk. Programming/timing issues???

I dunno, runs just as good and better mpg and no driveline 'nomal' noise. I'll take it.
