USB on Upper Console

Hey guys,
I just got a 2015 Acadia SLT 2 and I was under the impression that it had a USB port on the upper console above the dashboard screen but it doesn't. there's a cover in there so I wonder if I can have one installed and it can be hooked to the radio?
anyone has nay experience with this?

I had a '14 Denali that had the USB port in that compartment. Recently got a '17 Limited (old style Acadia) and the USB port has been moved down low on the center console. I guess they did that for those that charge and hook up their phone there, easier access for them. I liked the port better in the upper compartment as I don't use it for the phone, only for music on a flash drive.
