Water was leaking so bad into my car that we had to take all the carpeting and underpad out to vaccum the water out and let the carpets dry in the house under fans for over a week. The water was almost to the top of the battery and we used a shop vac to suck out the water trapped in the battery compartment. It was an all day event to remove and mop up the water. I did go to my GMC dealership many times and they said there was not water leaking. So we believed them and did nothing, until the rain late this fall for a week. Suddenly both sides of the car carpets were soaked and we notice for the first time soaked carpets in the back. It was scary to see the water almost to the top of the terminals of the battery. What if we didn't notice this before winter. It could have froze and cracked the battery housing. I just want to let anyone else that has had leaking to have the car checked for standing water. Don't get me wrong I love my car, just so disappointed that it had to go this way. The video showing the damage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXZYGdLlN-U&feature=plcp
