Here is a link for you to get a custom PCM chip for your OBD1 Sierra. It's Sinister Performance and they burn custom chip for the needs your looking to get out of your engine and transmission. Nothing you can do much a to tuning your transmission, other then when the Torque convert clutch will engage.

Good luck and keep us posted, and let me know if you need to know how to change your shift points on your 700R4 transmission. The simple would be to swap out your servo with a Corvette servo and replace your boost valve with a larger boost valve. ;) This will give you a much firmer shift then stock and buy you more life from your transmission.
