what can keep blowing my fuel pump in my 1998 gmc sonoma?

A bad Ground will cause your fuel pump to run hotter, causing it to burn out quicker and also running your gas tank low on fuel. The fuel is what keeps the pump cooled, so make sure your gas tank is never less then 1/4 most of the time.

Start with replacing the fuel filter and checking the ground for the fuel pump sending unit. it's separate from the sending unit wire harness. ;)
