What does my 2003 GMC Envoy need replaced?

I have a 2003 GMC Envoy, when you are driving for a few minutes it will lose all power and coast but DOES NOT die. You can stop and then start again and it will do the same thing. I have changed the fuel filter already yesterday. Anybody have an idea? Thank You.

If the engine doesn't "die", then why do you have to stop and restart again? Have the yellow check engine light error codes read out and see if there's any to help diagnose the problem. It's best to do that at a GM dealer because their OBD-II scanner reads out GM specific codes and they know the vehicle recalls and technical service bulletins for your make year model.

electronic throttle control is bad. need a throttle body replacement.

Look over at chevy parts for the electronic throttle control if you want to replace it yourself.
