So here is the problem with the truck..
It starts up just fine.. it take a couple cranks once in awhile.. but thats it.
It will run just fine for about 10 minutes.. and then shuts off.. once it is shut off it wont turn back on for at least another hour. (once not turning back on for over a day) Once we get it to start again it will do the same thing.

We have already replace the spark plugs with no foul ones.. and also replaced the fule filter..

We were told because it is so old that if it was the fuel pump it wouldn't be starting back up at all..

Opinions please!
Also we have had a couple people say it is the coil? And someone else say it was some type of P something valve..

I would think a fuel filter. Is it fuel injected or carberated. If the later it could be a sticking float.

I would try the gas cap first. A faulty gas cap has been known to cause a vapor lock. Then I would suspect the fuel pump. Not all fuel pumps go out like a light bulb. Sometimes they will try to hang on but not produce the proper pressure. It could also be the screen on the fuel pump, but I would suggest replacing the pump if you go to all the trouble to pull the tank.

You can take it to a shop and have a fuel pressure test done for diagnostics and do the work yourself to save some money.

Hope this helps and Merry Christmas
