What muffler sounds the best on a GMC sierra?

I have a 2001 GMC sierra, 5.3 V8, 4-WD, SLT, extended cab, short bed truck. I want to make it sound more aggressive, but I'm only 16 so money is tight for me. I was going to get a cat-back exhaust system, but it's too expensive for me so I just decided to get a new muffler and I can't decide on what sounds the best.

Flowmaster and Magnaflow are arguably the most popular sounds.
Magnaflows sound ragged and big bore while Flowmasters are mellow and refined but deep rumble.
I put a single Magnaflow on a Dodge 4.7 and it sounded good until higher RPM.
Later replaced with dual magnaflow and echo chambers, sounded awesome.
Currently have a 98 Chevy 5.7 with straight pipe from the cats back with echo tips, sounds awesome but I don't know if it will pass inspection without a muffler.
