what size wheel should i search for, for a 1998 GMC jimmy?

i am getting a used gmc jimmy, but i would like to put new tires on it, because the ones it came with are looking low and worn.
i want to try to buy the tires for a discount online, because i know how much tires can cost and i am on a budget. any estimates?

I am running 255/65-15 Hercules tire on my jimmy and find that to last a long time and the diameter is the same as stock tire at 235/70-15. They cost me installed $480.00 taxed balanced and road side emergency road side and free repair and balancing for the duration of life of the tire on the Jimmy. If your on a budget you can look at kijiji.com in the us and kijiji.ca in Canada. Other placed also would be the Salvage yard and they go for around $100.00 for a set of four. New cars get in to accidents too eh, and you may find a good set. Most garage will charge $15.00 per tire to install and balance. Good luck and hope this helps. Hint, the spare tire on the jimmy's and blazer are full size and never always used so chat with the counter person and see if they have any blazer or jimmy that may have just got in and ask for the spare tires to four of them. LOL Keep that secret to your self LOL.
