Thats the sound of my transfer case. New owner of a new-to-me 86 T15 Jimmy 4x4, Butt-Ugly Grey with a transfer case that sounds like someone threw a rock at a hornets nest.
First truck I've ever owned and driven, I'm really looking forward to it, but first I've got a bit of work to do to it (previous owners have not taken good care of it) before its back to normal. It runs, it drives, it scares my wife, and it'll get me down the road (albeit, not very quietly).
Any other Central Oregon owners on here?
