Where to find engine size written on vehicle.

I have just bought a 2013 Sierra that will be ready in a few days. The dealer says it's a 4.8 litre but when I search the vin online it comes up either a 4.3 or a 4.8 depending on where I look. Are there any labels on the truck itself that actually state the engine size? I looked and saw nothing.

The 8TH digit on your Vin number will be your engine code. The engine code for 4.8 L Flexfuel engine is an A.

The engine code for 4.8 L Non Flexfuel engine is a V.

The engine code for 4.3 L engine is a X or a Z 4.3L V6 TFI which is used in the 2014 Sierra.

EcoTec3 Z 4.3L V6 TFI with Active Fuel Management, Direct Injection and Variable Valve Timing (VVT), FlexFuel capable.

Hope this helps and if your still not sure, the Underhood emission control decal will indicate the engine family you have.
