Which are the better years for the Duramax 3500 Dually between 2016 and 2022

Greetings everyone. Im new to the forum and in search of purchasing a Duramax 1 ton dually. I used to be a car hauler and drove bunch of Dodge Ram dually's over the years and im tired of them, especially the newer models, lots of problems. Im now interested in going to a GMC or Chevy and my two main questions are:
1. What are the best years to buy between 2016 and 2022. I dont want to go any older and I cant afford to go any newer. I cant seem to find anything on the internet that explains much of the differences between those years.
2. Im confused a little with regard to the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado. I thought they were the exact same? If you look at the two links below from carcomplaints.com on year 2017, Chevy seemed to have quite a few problems as opposed to the 2017 GMC. Are the engines the same and just some differences with brakes and drivetrains or what?
