why do the front power windows of a GMC Jimmy stop working while the rear...

...windows continue to work properly? The vehicle is a 93 GMC Jimmy; the problem is that the front windows will only work for a couple seconds at a time, then will stop moving, as if there is no power. The rear windows roll up and down with no problems; what would most likely be the cause of the front window problem?
if you leave the switches alone for a few minutes, the windows will start moving again for a couple more seconds and then quit again for a few more minutes.
 
The window circuit is powered through a self reseting circuit breaker. Apparantly when you operate the front windows, excess current is tripping the breaker. After it cools for a few minutes it resets. Finding the source of the excess current will require connecting an amp meter in the circuit. Possible causes are windows binding in their track, window motors worn or even poor connections in a circuit can cause high current. Try spraying silicone lube in the window track and see if it helps.
