why does gas pump keep turning off when putting fuel in (2000 Jimmy 4x4)

Hi, I am trying to figure out why when fueling up, does the gas pump keep popping off like my tank is full every few seconds? And its not, I cant figure out why its doing it, anyone might know that could help?

Today when filling up the tank, if i old the handle just barely squishing the trigger then it will not pop, but if I hold it to where you can lock it on the first lock it pops in about 1 sec flat if not faster.

the evap system is not venting. you need to take it to a shop to have it checked. (unless you have a scan tool and a EVAP tester)
