Why does my 1993 GMC sierra sputter sometimes?

I will just be accellorating and it will begin to "kick" like a bucking bull lol It straightens itself out but its scary and makes me think its about to shut off. It acts as if it is out of gas but it has nearly a full tank all the time.

Start with the simple and repalce the fuel filter and clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Don't use Carburetor cleaner, the Carb cleaner is too corrosive to the gaskets used on throttle body's.
