on my 06 envoy when driving at any speed it feels like the brakes are being applied then all of the sudden it releases and drives fine. when this is happening you can give it gas and it will over power the problem. was told it could be in the stabilitrack or wheel speed sensors but i'm not sure

There are to many things that can cause this issue your having and way to expensive to be guessing on the actual issue that needs to be addressed. Your going to have to have the Envoy scanned by a Tech2 scanner at the dealer and see if you have any TSB updates to your Envoy.
The TSB updates are free at the dealer, but the scan will cost you a service charge, but if you just ask to see if there are any TSB updates first. The tech2 scanner will be hooked up to up date your ECM, if there are any TSB up dates and the scanner will pick up any issues and your scan will be free of charge.
