I changed the fule pump, fuel filter, fuel relay switch, and tested the starter. It seemed like it was a fuel problem. When I removed the distributer I noticed the points were worn a little could this be my problem? it seems like it wants to start. sometimes it starts when cold and usually doesnt when hot. it will run for about 5-10 minutes then just die. what is the problem??

It sounds like your ICM (ignition control module) has gone bad. Common for the engine to do what you have described when the ICM starts to go bad, it will run fine till it warms up and the engine my not start again till it's cooled off. Once the ICM totally fails, you'll not be able to restart the engine.

Auto Zone can test your ICM and will have that part also if it has gone bad, which i am leaning towards. Here is a link for you to retrieve and DTC codes your ECM has with your engine.

Good luck and be safe, keep us posted.
