5.3L automatic, 165,000 miles. Just had the evap canister purge valve replaced to fix the P0446 error code, which, from what I understand, involves lowering the transmission. I checked the IGN 0 and IGN 1 fuses, and both were good.
I should also mention that the shift from 2-3 is very very slow. When the truck is in any gear, that gear is solid.
I haven't checked the trans fluid yet, mostly because it's about -12 degrees F outside right now and I don't have a shop to use. I'm hoping to get a few ideas of things I can check before I resign to bring it back into the shop and fork out more money.
