One morning my Jimmy wouldn't start, and the day before it was running fine. It sounds like it wants to start but just won't go. So first I checked the fuel pressure and compression they both checked out good so changed the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and button. Still no go, then found information that maybe the computer had something wrong with it, so I changed it out I got it to start but only when I prep the engine or spray starter fluid in the fuel injector; I have to keep my foot on the gas and keep it at 1500RPMs to keep it on and it sounds like a lawn mover. When I got it to run I received the a check engine light and the code was P0300 which is a misfire so I made sure the plugs and wires were in good and started it again check engine light went away but still having trouble starting it. Could anyone help me?

Sorry, not enough technical information to even try to guess. What was the fuel pressure? What was the compression values per cylinder? Did you gap the plugs correctly? Are all the vacuum hoses connected? Never seen a lawnmower with a tachometer, so I don't know what 1500 rpm's sounds like.

Sounds like your fuel pressure is low and you may have your spark plug wires crossed. Recheck your spark plug wires to make sure there not crossed and post back your fuel pressure. You should have 62-65 PSI at the shredder valve "engine not running" and drop about 5 psi when engine has started.

Good luck and keep us posted. :D
