body style gmc sierra,? I have a 1999 (new body style) GMC sierra 1500 2wd and am looking to get a transmission from a Chevy silverado. but dont know if it will work. Also what year range will transmission fit in my truck.

Look in your glove box for the RPO code to make sure you have a 4L60E transmission, the code is M30. The 4L60E had a change design i believe in 1998 so 4L60E from 1998 and up will work for your Sierra.

Hope this helps and good luck and when you get the replacement transmission, replace the boost valve with a new one to ensure your not going to have any transmission issues in the future for low transmission line pressure. Replace it with a 0.490" or 0.500" boost valve size, 0.500" being a higher pressure will give you a harder shift.
