Wind noise---not

Have a 1998 k2500, 454, at any time i hear a whining / wind noise, some day's i never hear it. Yesterday i backed the truck up and it was there, stopped in the driveway and it was still there, i opened the door and it was still there, pushed the button on the inside of the door as if the door was closed and the noise stopped, could it bee something under the dash ???

Not really enough information to go on here.
When you hear the noise, take a long (3 foot or so) piece of fuel line or garden hose, hold it to your ear and use it to pinpoint the noise. That will be a good starting point.
