my dad went to start the sierra with the command start and what not everything turned on the lights the radio everything but the truck, it would not start or run. We tried to start with the key but it didn't work and then we relized the command start locked us out and know we want to restart it please if you know help me
command start CS299 and a two button transmitter.
to reprogram the remote.
1. Open the hood. The parklights will come on for 3 seconds and go out.
2. Press and release the hood switch. (Lights will come on)
3. While the lights are on press and release the hoodswitch quickly. (Parklights should remian on) If the parklights do not stay on past 5 seconds repeat steps 2 and 3.
4. Press button I in the transmitter long enough to turn parklights off.
5. Close hood and try remote starter.
Or try this:
1. Turn the on/off switch off.
2. Push both buttons on the remote.
3. Parklights will flash 15 times.
4. Turn the switch back on.
Try your remote start, The unit may be in tach lockout mode
Hope this works, not sure what Command start you have.
There is an on/off switch. Should be a silver toggle switch under the dash somewhere. Sometimes they are not marked so flip the switch and try the starter. To find the switch follow the red wire from the smaller harness to the switch. One wire from the switch hooks to the red wire, the other wire from the switch hooks to ground. When the switch is off only the locks work.
