2001 gmc jimmy gas cap door?

anybody ever here of a gas cap door locking when you lock your elec door lock from this vehicle my niece is trying to say that her gas cap door locks when she locks her door on her jimmy is this true or is she nuts

I think shes nuts, i'm a automotive tech and i have never seen this on a jimmy.

You never know now days what vehicles can do. I would say she is nuts. Some vehicles have the key lock. There is no electrical wires going to that door. It either opens from a lever in the vehicle(which is driven by a cable) or manually. But like i said. You never do know what some vehicles have. If it does actually do that. Someone made it beable to do that.(aftermarket) That wouldnt do that comming from the factory.

Sorry, but the Jimmy's don't have a locking gas cap door. You can open the Gas Cap door with the doors locked.

Got to love family members and ask her if she knows how to active her GPS in her Jimmy???
