i Just Purchased a 1996 Gmc Sonoma with the 2.2 engine with 5 speed. i changed the plugs and wires, shocks, wheel bearings, radaitor, new antifreeze, oil change, and put new front brakes on today. i regeristered and drove the truck today for a 30 mile ride home and i notice that if i stump on the gas the truck bucks and if you go extra slow it will accerate. any ideas why this is doin this.
i did not gap the plugs could that be my problem. i used the plat plugs that the truck calls for. or do you think it a fuel filter.
thanks jeremy

Start with the fuel filter and then clean your MAF sensor and inspect for any damaged or loose vacuum lines. Inspect your TPS (throttle position sensor) also and look for any damage to the wire leads to the TPS. A bad MAP sensor can also cause this issue your have described.

Keep it simple and start with the fuel filter and clean your MAF sensor and throttle body. Good luck and keep us posted, enjoy your new ride. :D
